In perfect, creamy, primrose yellow, the flowers of Gladiolus 'Happy Touch' exude a freshness and purity that can really lift a border or container display. Weave this compact, sturdy variety throughout other summer-flowering planting and enjoy its bold, upright flower spikes punctuating its bushier, more spreading companions. This shade of creamy yellow mixes easily with a range of colours, though we particularly enjoy it contrasted against powdery blues and purples. Think Phlox, Nepeta, and lavender. Perfection!  

For best results, plant your Gladiolus 'Happy Touch' corms at three times their depth in well-draining soil, or a gritty compost mix if using a container. Try to give them as much sun as possible, and keep watered during dry spells. To maximise flowering, apply a tomato feed as soon as shoots appear, and continue every couple of weeks until flowers fade. Staggered, fortnightly planting throughout April and May will also extend the flowering season of Gladiolus 'Happy Touch' significantly.
