How To Grow
The elderberry plant is quite adaptable to Australian conditions and will grow in most soil types, including wet soils. This plant likes full sun, but is happy to grow in part shade as well.

Cover roots 3-4m apart in full sun. Choose your position carefully, as this multistemmed plant suckers upwards and spreads. For this reason you may choose to grow it in a pot, or use a root barrier in the garden.

Feed plants with a complete fertilizer as fruit is forming.
